Michelle’s body creates a narrative vision and the Fisk Building connects her to a regional cityscape. I title the piece Embodiment of the Polk Street because Michelle is a reincarnation of the historic Fisk building located in Amarillo, Texas. By challenging the figure-ground relationship, my research demonstrates that inversion collaborates with the inclusion of an urban landscape by removing the image around the area of the model, which fuses the figure into a new form.
